My monkey is oblivious to Halloween. Adding to this mix his sensory issues, costumes are pretty difficult. I always struggle to get something that he won’t fight me on. Obvious things like masks, gloves, hats are off the table. He loves the movie Cars and I was able to find a Pit Crew costume. It is very simple, but perfect for him. I put it on him before he woke up, thinking he’d want to take it off once he realized what he had. But he didn’t complain. He left it on. It comes with a cap, but I knew that’d be too much for him. I messaged his teacher to let her know that I was going to send extra clothes in case he complained. But she messaged me to tell me he is doing really good.
